Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm thinking about buying a 2001 C4. The car has mid-20's mileage. Options are full leather, Litronics, heated seats, power seats with memory, rear wiper, 18" twists, 6 CD changer. Price is 55k. What do think, good price or can I do better? Also what's a 30k service cost, ballpark? Thanks in advance.

POST 2Original post

30k service will run you about $700 or so (call your dealer and they will tell you exactly how much - shop around if you like, as it DOES vary from dealer to dealer for the same service). The '01 should still have warranty left, so you should be covered for most things that would come up during the inspection. Save yourself A LOT of hassle though, and make sure you get a PPI (Porsche Pre Sale Inspection) from your dealer BEFORE you get the car - that way you'll have a good idea of how it will check out. It will be the BEST $200 you spend..it is an absolute must. Good luck.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was planning on doing that. I'm going to check with dealer regarding service on the car as well. Thanks BSC.

POST 4Original post

i think 55k is a little high. it's not crazy, and if you paid that, you would have a good car, but i think closer to 50k would be better.

POST 5Original post

All all for getting the best deal but 55K for an 01 C4 saounds like a good deal maybe even too goo if it is P dealer. Make sure you know what you are getting. Best!
