What I meant by filling the wheel well is vertically filling it, I suppose I could lower the car to get the same effect however.

Yeah like I said, the 'all' black with orange works but with a silver wheel on any colour P car will 'look' too big, you don't want to grab attention with your car the wrong way, that is use big wheels, that is already being done with owners of other cars on the road, I see them all the time and I am sure you do too.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

No clue....but you want to put 20 inch wheels on your car??? Is this Xhibit from Pimp my Ride? JK....would be interested to see how wheels that size would look.....
J
well, I don't think they're much bigger than thr 18s i have... I want wheels that fill out my wheel well more and I love my stock sport technos so I was just curious.
I recently saw some kind of special tuned Mustang in a parking lot...it had 20" wheels...looked aggressive as hell. Was a wild looking too....I think it was a "Foose"? It didn't look like any factory model....had no ford or mustang badges...just "foose"...I think. Anyone else seen them?
J
It was just on the TV show "Rides" on the HD Discovery Channel. Chip foose the car artist designed it to be a modern version Eleanor gt500 from shelby..
20's...too big IMHO. Here's the thread that Damon posted about the Ultraleggera HLT's on 997TT's which are 20's so you have an idea as to what 20's will look like (
Ultraleggera HLT
). Those side walls are thin, but the wheel being all black against orange works but silver they look way too big, IMO.

Yes 19's is the largest you should go with IMO, with the correct wheel and tyre combo it will look great.
100% agreement but it takes the right car to pull it of though. For me I wanted a nice wheel and not have someone look at the car for the first time and say 'nice wheels', I want them to say 'nice car and the wheels look great on it'.
Aww fo shizzle son, I'm thinking about underglow too and green LED windshield washer nozzles!!!
Just asking a question and I got my answer. Biiiiiite me!
and I'm sure you'll agree I responded in kind
If I were to get wheels, they would be 19" GT3 wheels. Those are my absolute favorites. I have seen the Cayman sport wheels in black and they don't look bad either. IMO, 20s are too large and I'd be better off with a 19"
Are you guys still pissed at me for trying to steal your daughters???
You guys are missing the whole point of 20" wheels. People use them to save money on "tire shine" spray as there is absolutely no side wall left to shine. Just think about all of the money we waste on tire shine over the life of our 17-19" wheels. The environmentally friendly among us would have been rollin' on 20s for a while now. Come on fellas... get with the program!
BTW Navy. As you can see in my sig. I have the 18" sport technos. The rear 18x11" fills the wheelwell nicely with 295 rubber. However, I admit the front would probably benefit from a 5 or 7mm spacer. Have you considered adding spacers?
I have the 18" sport technos on my C4S incase anyone missed that. I've gotten comments that it really modernizes the car. What I meant by filling the wheel well is vertically filling it, I suppose I could lower the car to get the same effect however.
I LIKE THE 20 ON THE 997 BUT TO BIG FOR THE 996 LIKE MIKE SAID 20 IN THE BACK 19 IN THE FRONT MY CUZ'S 360 HAS 20 IN THE BACK AND 19 IN THE FRONT LOOKS NICE IT MITE WORK
