Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello folks. Washed the car today and took my camera to snap some pictures. I forgot to take some picture with straight wheels, buhuuu =( //Norbert

POST 3Original post

Nice pics. The car looks like it's floating in the 3rd picture down.

POST 4Original post

Very nice, more pics please. So is that a true Euro GT3?

POST 5Original post

Snapped some pictures of my white beast! Thank God they were pictures of a car.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys! Thespeeddeamon: No its a WannaBe GT3 US =)

POST 7Original post

That thing is fresh. Been trying to debate between black and white wheels for my whitey.

hahahahaha....wouldn't be bad for a change...turn this a little hardcore... Great pictures. What camera did you use?

POST 12Original post

Beautiful ride, twists arent my thing, but I like the white on white.

POST 13Original post

Why do have a GT3 badge when it's a Carrera? Now remove that center radiator plug!

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

zicoramone: Nikon D50 Mr. C4: Because the car came with the badge and I like the look, thats why!

POST 16Original post

What do you mean you like the "look"? There's no look to it. It's a badge that is supposed to identify the car. Instead it just says "I'm insecure". Between those of you that put GT3 on a C2 and those that put GT3RS on a GT3 I am just not sure whom is more insecure. So what are you going to have the "real" GT3 say if you buy one someday? As far as I am concerned there are 2 options.....a REAL badge or debadge. And should you not like the "Carrera" nameplate you can also get it in color (paint to match, silver, chrome) or you can get the "911" plate which is one of my favs and alot of the guys here have that one.

POST 17Original post

That's really silly and must feel pretty stupid when you get your *** kicked by a 3.6 996 or any other GT3. It's just as bad as people that badge their BMW 318 with a M3 badge.

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well I like it... buhuuu for you guys, IM NOT CHANGING IT! =)

POST 19Original post

That only reconfirms what Dell said about insecurity. I think I might just go down and put a GT2 on my GT3, NOT!

POST 20Original post

I going to run and get a RS and Cup badge this afternoon. Later today my rear decklid will say: GT3RS Cup

POST 22Original post

Shouldn't it saty GT3RSR? You are, in fact, a factory Porsche racecar driver......you don't want to mis represent

POST 23Original post

Hmmmmm, Chris, you make a good point. What about : GT3RS RSRCup

POST 24 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Wow just found gt3 stickers, blue! Think Im gonna get them, and now it will be even more gt3... georges, dont you guys think that, especielly Mr c4 and lvdell? http://cgi.ebay.de/PORSCHE-DEKORSATZ...QQcmdZViewItem

POST 28Original post

Oh nay! D is a factory driver, but we wouldn't want to tip anyone off that he isn't a good factory driver......the saucer thing would be a dead give away to his more effeminate driving style love ya mean it

POST 29Original post

Dell, I think it is we that are insecure! After all, with Carerras dressed in GT3 trimmings people will think our cars are but an imitation of the real thing. Actually, I don't mind the badge he put on there. If it gives him joy who am I to try to take that away? I am nobody special. There are always people with better cars than I have. All of us are kindred spirits. We love the marque and revel in the spirit of driving. Step back and take a look at ourselves and we will find that there are far more things that we have in common than what differentiates us. Nit piking someone over some tiny detail is simply failing to see the trees because your vision is blocked by the forest. Enjoy your rides, one and all!

POST 31Original post

Nice bit of sarcasm I forgot, I need to run to the dealer and pick up a new badge for my V6 Cayenne. Should I do S or Turbo? I wouldn't want anybody to know I drive the lowly V6 model

POST 32 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Maybe you should run and buy a pack of baby pampers?

POST 33Original post

Sweet Ride poseur badge and all. I say to each their own. Enjoy.

POST 34Original post

I'm not the poser with the insecurity. I know my GT3 is real and I know my Carrera is NOT a GT3. What about you?

POST 35Original post

Oh SMACK Dell, you're not going to stand for that are you

POST 36Original post

This is just like with people that wear a fake exclusive watch, I just laugh at them. And Knoby, Dell won't fit in the baby pampers.

POST 37Original post

No way Chris! Time to unsubscribe. Enjoy your life of incongruence NOBY

POST 38Original post

Hey, if you want to get real deep commentary, go to the "exhaust sound" thread just below this one. We are about to go WAY....OT and get into dep religious discussion based around a death Metal website one of our own has created. But don't leave D. this one's just about to kick up You're bouncing between here and I-village aren't you..... Baby talk with some of the new soon to be expectant dads

POST 39 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The one who is insecure here are you and Mr c4, so what if my car came with a GT3 badge, its gt3 optic and I like the look of the badge. You two guys always start with your pathetic sarcasm and play like two babyes with each other against the one that doesnt fallow your guys flow (this is not first thread). I guess both of you guys got picked up in school as you LVDELL always run and cry as soon as someone tells the opposit in a thread, last time I heard u were leaving the forum because of that and still you are here and picking up on people, so sad realy, Im not telling you should leave but you are like a baby in pampers. Soon my fake GT3 seats will arrive ... wohooooo Oh and my new bilstein coilovers.... oopsss I forgot, it didnt say bilstein on them

POST 41Original post

Dell, you are going to need the pampers anyway, so why not run and get a pack?

POST 42Original post

hehehe Just when I thought I was out of here, you guys always seem to bring me back with thread calming humor TIME TO SUBSCRIBE BACK TO THIS THREAD....... Let's see just how far we can get this one to go. NOBY seems to like deflecting the flame toward those of us that will actually be HONEST with him. I don't give a damn if you put Carrera GT on the back of your car. It is still posing and I guess I just don't understand it. Maybe somebody can explain it to me. And don't give me the "to each his own" rationale. There has to be some underlying rationale other than that. Maybe NOBY could answer the following question. If the car came with the "Carrera" badge when you bought it would you have removed it and put the GT3 badge on it? NOBY I promise from this point forward in the thread to be civil unlike the cracks you keep throwing out of pampers and the such. I am more interested in the reasons.. ps. as much you as you would like it to be true, I was NEVER picked on in school. Posing gets you picked on, honesty doesn't.

POST 43 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah thing is you cant see the difference between a joke and reality, but hey new word in your vocabulary "pathetic"

POST 44Original post

Nah, my vocabulary is fine. I think you are the one that need to improve on your 1st grade English skills.

POST 45 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Never did say Im a smartass as you, but hey my english is good enough for you to understand, so I guess its all OK

POST 47Original post

MkI or MkII? Photos correct? These are of a MkII......

POST 48Original post

Now we're getting somewhere.......this is fun

POST 49 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You bet, and I was the one that was going to rent a movie tonight

POST 50Original post

In high school a guy would have a 283 or a 327 and put a 454 badge on his car. All we would say is, you want to race? It is a strange way to badge your car and to me it makes no sense. If it were me I would just de-badge the car and make everyone wonder. But to get into a spitting contest over it is becoming brain damage. I vote on just posting a and move on each time this comes up(which seems to be every 2 weeks or so).

POST 51Original post

NOBY..Just make sure you check to see that...... Cinderella isn't in the GT3 movie box .....ah I mean the Mission Impossible 3 .....box (jab, jab)

POST 53Original post

Let me see if I understand this thread. 1) Someone posts pictures of a car they own. 2) Another member says they don't like something about the car that the original poster said was on the car when he/she bought it. 3) We end up here getting personal with each other and casting insults. Guys, I think there's room for all of us. To Steven C: I do the same thing and d-badge the cars. Or at least up the performance to a level people don't expect. To LVDell: Can't wait to get to NC. We had a home built N of Charlotte. I bet you know all the roads. Hope to meet you soon....and I will try to keep up. To NOBY: Car looks great. Get yourself a EVO Supercharger and, if you can drive, they won't see which way you went. Regards, JLC

POST 54Original post

Agreed. There are definitely some great roads here in NC. We'll have to get together a "meet and drive" with some of the area Rennlisters

POST 55Original post

Nice pics! Are you thinking of doing the brakes as well? White ROCKS!!! Your car looks similar to mine, but I have a Carrera badge and black wheels.

POST 56Original post

Car looks great with the GT3 kit. GT3 badge is lame Those rims are Hideous!

POST 57Original post

Funny thing is, I think only "Porsche guys" would know the difference to call him out on it. So it is self-defeating. I have seen some re-badging I thought was cool: GT-Street, Carrera 3.6, 911 3.8, GT-3.6. In those cases it's a custom badging (these cars were modded) but not misrepresenting anything.

POST 58Original post

I'm afraid that doesn't work. If you have a Carrera debadge you will never think that the car is a GT3. Because if you have a real GT3 you will never take off the badge. So when we see a GT3 look alike without any badge we instantly know that the car isn't in fact a GT3. Life is complicated...Gee

POST 60Original post

After reading 4 pages of this going back and forth about someone's car...I simply don't get it. Someone posted and shared proudly pictures of their car. Some people did not like certain things and they point it out...people get personal and they even go as far at making cracks about vocabulary and english skills...sometimes I wonder about some people around here. So what if someone decides to put a GT3 badge on a "fake" GT3....how exactly does that affect the "true" GT3 owners? Is it the fact that you guys obviously spent a LOT more money and have a much better car overall and it makes you upset that someone, that did not spend that much money, "pretends" that they did? They are in a completely different country even....??? Come one. Let him be... Oh yes, I think it is kind of silly but I have seen worse....

POST 61Original post

I must admit, I think the car looks great. I do however think that a blatant misrepresentation of the car by means of that badge is a little......lame (no offense). I can't throw to big of a stone, because I had a special made "Clubsport 4S" (factory script and all) reflective decal made for my car. IMO, thats quite different. I merely came up with a name for the car I created (based on my mods). A C.Sport RS existed as a 993 but never a C.Sport 4S, so I'm not "posing" as something the car isn't.......it is what I made it and named it.....big difference. I think the purists, get offended by a car that isn't. Its like wearing a Rolex that you bought in Mexico for $10 bucks. Purists know its not real, the general public has no idea. But it cheapens the marque/model by being copied, and in time, everyone is wearing a watch that is thought to be a Rolex........when it isn't. The back and forth here is easy because we are not face to face. Some of us nudge to see where it goes, but it does get out of hand. I think Noby and Dell should kiss and make up. Its not worth the fight to create the rift, and who knows, he may be a cool guy that we'd hang out at the track with..................as long as he let Dell peel off that badge

POST 62Original post

Not quite sure I am ready to kiss but I would gladly buy along distance beer I think he gets the crux of the argument. We love his car but hate that he cheapens it with a poser badge. Just makes the P-Car crowd start down the path of the ricer crowd with their "Type R" badges. Love what you got!

POST 63 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Okey let me put it this way guys, I got this car maybe 3 weeks ago, it was street ready few days ago, when it comes to the badge I have not think much about it as I have just droven the car for the last few days. So, I post pictures and directly Mr C4 and LDvell picks on something they can find me or the car, and this was not the first time in a thread I started or seen in others, I call them the pampers boys from now on! =) Anyways as I did not think much about the badge before I have not decided anything but their word was like "YOU NEED TO GET THAT **** OFF" well Im not the guy fallowing the flow and its my car and I think it shouldnt matter if I take it of or not, its still my car. Thats my thoughts AND Im not pissed on eather of them, people are like they are =) Regards

POST 64Original post

Noby, Listen! Dell and I if I recall, have both suggested to you in the past that you should stay away from replica GT3 seats as their safety standard is questionable. We have also told you what we think of your GT3 badge. Is that really so bad!? You need to have thicker skin than that! Also, if you post pictures of your ride, you are bound to get positive and negative comments. Your car looks great besides the GT3 badge and the wheels and that's my opinion which I do believe I'm entitled to have. Right? Both Dell and I have been around Rennlist for a long time and other Rennlisters know us as knowledgeable, helpful and that we say what we think and do what we say. Please show me which post in which Dell or I said "YOU NEED TO GET THAT **** OFF" as it's not my style of wording here at Rennlist. Now, quit acting like in an attempt to get sympathy from others here and move on. Take your badge-tweaked 996 Carrera and go for a drive in the beautiful Swedish summer.

POST 65Original post

We really should do a 'meet and drive'... lots of NC folks here.

POST 66Original post

Dell, I see you still have the pumpkins going...

POST 67 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No its not bad with positive and negative feedbacks, but its the way you guys put it, I did not get angry or anything I just said, "I will leave it on" and it was you two guys that got so worked up that I thought u guys would blow up! Ofcourse and its a feedback you are title to give as anyone else, thats why I posted pictures. Well you did not put it that way but close to it if you read your posts, DVLL even wanted proof that if I would or not take it of, thats just low! I know you guys propably been here a while and propably scared of a lot of future members with this kind of playing you guys do, but hey Im cool with it. No sunny weather here tho PEACE!

POST 68Original post

maybe he thinks that by removing them and replacing them with clear/smoke ones will deface the GT3... (sorry Dell, I couldn't resist...j/k!!).

POST 69Original post

I like your car, the white looks great and I like the wheels also. I've been in the business of customizing vehicles and building high performance motors since the mid 70s. I see a lot of different things, some I like and most I don't. But I don't do it for me. What's important to me is the joy and appreciation others get from having something a little different and out of the mainstream. Stock, as manufactured vehicles do very little for me as it is a "one size fits all" which nobody hates, but few really love it either, except those poor conservative souls who lack vision and imagination. As far as your GT3 emblem, if it makes you smile, great, keep it...and keep 'um guessin'.
