Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Has anyone ever seen this? What is shown in the picture is the top, just above the passenger window. I looked inside the headliner, and did not see anything that stood out as broken or missing.

POST 3Original post

open the top half way and inspect the "bead" that runs along the edge for breaks? looks like you will need a top though

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone know if a top is covered by a CPO Warrantee?

POST 5Original post

I had this happen on my Boxster. The nylon "cord" that lines up in the track is not aligned properly. I think that it was an adjustment to the tension. I never spent any big bucks on my top, so I believe they'll just need to adjust it (if it is the same thing). Good luck.!

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

There is a small cable that runs along each side of the top, inside of the black tube. This cable ensures the correct amount of tension to pull the top into the channel when closed. In some cases, this cable can come detached, and simply needs to be re-attached inside the front of the top. By simply, I mean to the tune of around 3.5 hours of labor!
