Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Any thoughts on what might be the cause of both of my litronic headlights failing to work??? Luckily the fog lamps were bright enough to guide me home... All other lights seem to be working fine... The litronics simply will not fire up... Are there some connections I should check??? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

POST 2Original post

headlight switch is my guess. you can get a vw or audi one since they are same

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Where is this switch located? Would this be the in-dash switch or some sort of in-line relay?

POST 4Original post

switch is what you see in the dash. do a search on renntech.org to see how-to. it's a simple job from i hear.

POST 5Original post

do your wipers and ac work ? bad ign switch will do the same thing the headlight switch is easy. pull the 2 t20s in the side of the vent pull the headlamp **** and stick a pick in the gover in the bottom to release the ****, take out the last t20 in the hold remove the vent un plug the switch undo the nut on the switch 19 mm iirc twist the switch a 1/8 turn reverse to install

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I will check out renntech... did a search here and found nothing... thanks for the lead djantlive and 99firehawk... cheers!

POST 8Original post

generaly not fusues as both head lamps are fused independtaly

POST 9Original post

No kidding, however having found many Porsches with both high beam or low beam fuses blown it is always a good idea to check. Start simple then move toward expensive. Checking fuses requires removing a cover and looking. Ciao, Adrian.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

99firehawk, Thanks for the help! Changed out the switch, as described, and presto... we have lights! Cheers!
