Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
You may find a car at 40k, and end up negotiating to 35k.......one thing I can tell you I have noticed, is that 911's dont all sell very fast, just check the completed auctions on ebay, not many selling, meeting reserve or whatever.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi,
I am looking for a 1999 carrera coupe.
I am close to that budget range.
Am I expecting a lot of problems if I get a car that old?
And also can anyone give a depreciation on such a car 1999 C2 coupe? just want to know how much the car would depreciate.
thanks.
I have a 99 996 c4 that I am getting ready to sell. Silver / Black, No issues, all service records, excellent condition. PM me if you are interested. mark
I shopped with a relatively low budget too. At first I wanted to pay 28k-33k since there are so many cars out there. However, I found 99-02 are all pretty much close to eachother in price. Well, not so much 2002, but there are a few every now and then that are slow to sell that can be picked up at a good deal.
However, I saw alot of really nice optioned cars rise to the top in the 35-40k range. So I figured it was worth it to stretch a few thousand for something really nice. You may find a car at 40k, and end up negotiating to 35k.......one thing I can tell you I have noticed, is that 911's dont all sell very fast, just check the completed auctions on ebay, not many selling, meeting reserve or whatever. Its definitely a buyers market in my opinion.
I too am selling my '99 911. It is metalic black with triptronic transmission. New tires, brakes, 60k service done. 67,000 miles. It is priced it to sell at around $28.5k. PM me if you are interested.
hey, fred..are you from the bay area? if you are I could give you the contact info of a friend of mine who works @ Credit Union and help me get my 2 cars with in a month.....I've saved over 6k on both cars and it has 4 yrs/ 48k warranty on it too. It's an 04' Matrix XR and 99 Porsche 986
First time I've seen the magazine the other day and I Bought & Love It esp. the tech forum and the market updates
plus finally an article about 986 Boxster
The reason, I was asking was, I went to TMV from edmunds and they show for each and every year the car depreciates like 5k-6k 1999-2000-2001 only those 3 years. I thought after sometime u hold the car, the car price would ease off in depreciation and would not reduce that much.
Fred - my two cents - forget about the depreciation issue. If you love the car, buy it and enjoy it. Porsches will always retain some value.
By the way, I might be interested in selling my 2000 C4 millenium if you're interested. 27k miles, extended warranty. I live in LA.
