Out of curiousity can a car previously CPO'd be sold by an independent dealership and have the warranty transferred? I know the topic of CPO came up before but my search didn't yield the answer. What do you guys think of this? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

I am pretty sure the answer is NO, the CPO warranty will not transfer if you buy a car through an independant dealer. IIRC, this issue came up after arr0gant bought the submarine (a.k.a. floor damaged) P-car from an indy car dealer who purchased the car from a Porsche dealer. The car WAS a CPO car until the Porsche dealer sold it to the indy car dealer. At that instance the CPO warranty was voided.

I should give Porsche NA a call... If the warranty is transferrable from person to person why wouldn't it be transferable from indy dealer to person. In Arogant's case the car was a flood vehicle; I think that voids all warranties; like the case in which the car is smashed beyond repair...

I bought a car from an indy dealer and it had about 2 months left on the CPO warranty. I was able to use the CPO to have a few items replace under the warranty.

I remember the same thing as Gota911. We went through this issue in detail. A call to PCNA by Arr0Gant revealed that the CPO was nullified once the car was transferred from the Porsche dealer to the independent dealership.
