Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone local to RDU know of a good wheel refinishing shop they could recommend? I checked a curb entering an un-lit parking lot in the dark Friday night and got a small scratch on my MY02's. Its small enough that you wouldn't notice from 5 ft, but it will gnaw at the back of my brain until its fixed just because it was an idiot mistake and I know its there. Thank god it was only cosmetic as my 1st DE was Saturday at VIR and a broken wheel would have forced me to sit out. Thanks guys! I know its not a 996, but wheels are pretty general topic and there's more local NC traffic here than the 986 forum

POST 2Original post

There is an outfit that sets up shop behind the Range Rover dealer called Rim Guard I think. I would have used them for a single wheel but when I wanted all 4 done I decided to powdercoat.

POST 3Original post

Hey Scott Not the Carrera wheel! Nooooo... Another option is to give Tolga a call. They have a jobber (probably the same guy) who comes in and you can leave the car for them to do. Think they also do on-site. Guy has a truck with equipment to repair, true and paint.
