Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suspected cause
I've never had my car's throttle body off except the one time that proved to be an air/oil separator failing so I can't tell you if the throttle body will have any oil or not.
Leading evidence: 'air/oil separator failing' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'air/oil separator failing' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check any oil' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suggestion
Also, upon checking the hose connection just after the body I found that area/cavity as full of oil as it could be.

Suggestion
Clean all oil from any hose connectors that feed into intake manifold after throttle body then button everything up and drive car some.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I had my throttle body off today and noticed a bit of oil in the intake plenum. Is this normal? If so, how does oil get up into the air intake??
Thanks,
Normal. There is a tube that comes back from somewhere on the motor, and it brings a small amount of oil. Crankshaft ventilation maybe? I am semi-hopeless on mechanics stuff, but the mechanics I was with said that it was totally normal and expected.
care of in time can result in severe engine damage, maybe even engine destruction. (Engine can ingest too much oil and experience lock up which causes lots of internal engine damage of the most expensive kind if the lock up is severe and it will be if engine running at anything other that cranking RPMs (maybe 150 RPMs max).)

WAG is it can have some but it should be confined to the portion after/closest the engine/heads after the throttle butterfly valve.
In my car's case, the bore after the valve was wet with oil and there was enough oil on the valve to form a drop or so. Also, upon checking the hose connection just after the body I found that area/cavity as full of oil as it could be. Not much, maybe a tablespoon.
If you're concerned, clean body and valve and wipe down as much of the intake passages/runners as you can reach. Don't let any debris get in there. Use clean lint free rags/towels.
Clean all oil from any hose connectors that feed into intake manifold after throttle body then button everything up and drive car some.
Remove throttle body and check for any oil. If dry, still, maybe ok. Probably ok. But if oil's back...
Even if dry, though, if engine develops a mild stumble off idle. If engine develops a mild hunting idle. If while engine running you remove oil tube filler cap and experience difficulty or failure to remove cap against negative pressure inside crankcase, shut off engine pronto and get car flatbedded to nearest dealer for an air/oil separator replacement. Avoid driving car, starting engine any.
Sincerely,
Macster.
Normal; when I changed my plenum and had the throttle body out I had oil as well like many others (search for the RSS Plenum thread). No reason to freak out; most engines are still running fine - most - not all
