Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Passenger side regulator was replaced prior to delivery as part of certification.
Leading evidence: 'Replace passenger side regulator' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'window regulator' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace entire regulator and assembly' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I've looked over the shop manual, read all the threads I could, and have come the conclusion that it's likely the window regulator, but might also be the track on which the window itself rides, it's definitely loose in there.

Update, they are replacing the entire regulator and assembly under CPO

May have been overtightened when the regulator was replaced previously which would result in the play and sag we're seeing, or may be loose and the whole assembly is drooping.

I tried resetting the windows using the methods described, and also tried cycling the door lock cylinder several times.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

OK everyone I'm heading to the dealer for the first time since shipping the car back.
My driver's side window is, for lack of a better term, sagging. It goes up and down, both with the switch and the door handle, but fouls on the B pillar (really on the edge of the rear quarter window) when opening and closing, and I get a whistle/air rushing sound at high speed or in cross winds. This problem developed about 3 months into my ownership, an I just haven't had a chance to get over to the dealer.
When closed, even though it will foul as it closes, the window will seat flush against the b-pillar and is very tight with the rear quarter window glass (edge to edge)
When I open the door, I can pull the window up with my hand, there's definitely some play there, and when I do this I can close the door cleanly, but once the door closing action brings the window up and down it once again is seated too far back.
When the window is rolled all the way down it rattles over bumps.
I tried resetting the windows using the methods described, and also tried cycling the door lock cylinder several times. I had a door plug in there from Eric, which I've since removed.
The passenger side window has almost a quarter inch gap between it and the rear quarter window glazing, doesn't rattle, no air noise. Passenger side regulator was replaced prior to delivery as part of certification.
I've looked over the shop manual, read all the threads I could, and have come the conclusion that it's likely the window regulator, but might also be the track on which the window itself rides, it's definitely loose in there. Any advice before I head over to the dealer today?
Original warranty is over, but car is still in CPO warranty.
The fact that the window is misaligned and rattles over bumps leads me to believe that one or more of the bolts holding the regulator to the door frame may be loose. If so, that will be a simple fix.
Thanks Doug,
I just took it in, spoke at some length with the techs who agreed it might be just as you say.
May have been overtightened when the regulator was replaced previously which would result in the play and sag we're seeing, or may be loose and the whole assembly is drooping. I'm going to let them do their thing, everything should be CPO covered parts/labor.
