This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Heard a story today from Melbourne,Australia (I'm in Sydney, Australia) A man had filled his Porsche with petrol, left the keys in the ignition, and went inside to pay.His wife was still in the car asleep!!. A young man( aka a piece of crud) jumped in the car a roared off. He stopped a short distance later and pushed the half awake wife out the passenger door. The Porsche was chased by Police and after two collisions brought it to a stop.Thats all I've heard so far, but I was wondering how many of you leave the keys in the ignition when paying for fuel? In Australia this has happened a number of times as well as car-jackings at traffic signals. Whats it like in the US or other places?

POST 2Original post

Damn. That is terrible. I always pay at the pump with my credit card. On the rare occassion that I need to pay inside I always make sure the car is locked. I just read recently that Washington, D.C. has the dubious distinction as being the city with the most car thefts in the U.S. The surrounding counties in Maryland rank up there too. I am lucky that Fairfax, Virginia where I live is relatively safe. However, I am still on the lookout when driving at night and would never stop or get out of my car if I see red & blue lights unless it is in a well-lit, public place since there have been cases of police impersonators carjacking motorists.
