To me it sounds a little high for a used one, but to find one is difficult and if you really want a becker what can you do? I would say for the same money you can get a nice aftermarket unit, but if you want OE you are gonna have to pay the price.

2 local Boxster owners replaced their CDR-220 with the Traffic Pro. They may want to sell it. PM me if you want their contact info. They and I bought Traffic Pros from Crutchfield for $400 and it has a cd player. Something else for you to consider.

Any idea on how hard it is to replace the standard cassette radio in my 01 996 with the HK Traffic Pro. I have the Hifi add'l unit (with the DSP) and a CDC. The price looks attractive at Crutchfield, but don't want to create an install headache. Help is much appreciated. thanks, mike

Pull out old radio. Slide in Traffic Pro. You do have to install the GPS antenna. Cars with the amp need to jump 2 wires to power the amp. And some people hook up the reverse signal wire, but others do not. Instructions are on renntech.org
