Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Looks cool, some used the same scheme and applied it to other models.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Guys and gals,
Did Porsche offer a factory "Carrera" script painted on the sides of a 02 996 along with painted mirrors? I have never heard of this option. Any help would be great!
thanks again,
Scott
Uggghhh, I don't want to jinx it but its getting a PPI tomorrow or the next. The owner has really no history on the car so am kinda rolling the dice, The PPI should take care of any of the big problems. He still thinks it a factory front bumper and tail. He also said the Carrera is painted. I have never seen that before. I have seen a ton with the sticker. So I would love to know if its a factory option or what the hell it is. Looks really clean. The wheels that are on it are going to be the track wheels. So am I crazy? What do you guys think? I love the car but not sure about the orange Carrera. We had a white 996TT come into the shop today with the same techart front bumper and it looked so good!
And yes that is a GT3 wing in the back
So you guys think it was painted on? Or maybe they put clear bra over it? No I have not seen the car. Its too far for me just to check it out. It would be cheaper though just to fly and do the PPI myself. Ugghh
Redridge I have much experience with the FG front bumper :/ If its the bumper manufacture I am thinking its not FG.
Im sure if you create a thread of general location and your contact info... someone will chime in and check it out for free.... Ive asked and Ive checked out cars for other members.... I usually ask to get some eyes on it if its worth while persuing a PPI.
Orange rims and rear views on a black car? Jesus H. Christ - why do people do this to innocent vehicles?
I know. It's a taste thing and a free country, etc., etc. And that's fine. I guess I'm just old fashioned and think that rims should be silver.
And by virtue of merely typing this I feel a bit prudish.
Time to go look at aeroman's latest avatar ...

The wheels I can change but I am going to have to live with the Orange. From what I have found this was not an option. Does anyone know for sure?
I did find another car last night in the Bay area so I might not bother with this black one.
Thanks again for the help,
Scott
Scott,
This type of body overhaul is not cheap so unless it is a young rich kid spending his paychecks in advance or its supplemented by insurance after an accident. Need to look at this on a lift for sure. PPI PPI...
