Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

34 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 5Original post

Me too. I know, I need to have a pic of my car as my avatar. Combination of technically challenged and lazy. Deadly combo.

POST 6Original post

... and who said that 40th anniversary cars were slow to sell?

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey watch it Mac Man...... We're up to a whopping count of 5 already. When the rest of our fellow 40 Jahre brethren return from their hoilday travels we will unite and smite thee with our collectable luggage pieces!!!

Hey, I said nothing about the car - I personally love it. I was just commenting on how many owners are around/how well they sold when released.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

For the record, there are 1964 of us. You'd better mind your p's & q's!!!

POST 10Original post

I'll be careful, I don't want to provoke the Wrath of Nupe.

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The 40th anniversary cars came with two leather luggage pieces that are custom designed to fit the 911trunk. They also came with a leather wallet and a leather something else (I don't remember what it was, but whatever it was, my wife found it to be handy). Those of us who bought the cars at the end of the model year also had 15-20 $1,000 bills stuffed in the glove compartment..... but that's a different story.

POST 14Original post

#158 checking in. Had it for about 2 months now. Love it so far.

POST 15Original post

I am a big fan of that model, especially given the nose and those sweet five spokes! If there was one on the showroom floor when I redlined my personal impulsivity, one would be all mine! Don't they have a little more Powah?

Yes they are rated at 345HP w/the X51 powerkit as standard. I have a friend with a 40th Annversary car, his is number 8 or 9(can't remember) out of 1963. Does anybody have anything lower than that car

POST 17Original post

I think you guys are all liars!!! Proof will be in the posted pictures!!! Show those 40year ann. P's with details please...luggage, etc etc. put your pictures where your mouth is. Hope that this will turn this tread into an images tread.....I personally love those!!

POST 22Original post

Hey Everyone - I have number 011 IIRC (I'll check the # and confirm in a bit). Had it for almost 3 years. 19,5xx miles. Love it. Its my DD. Upgraded from an E46M3. I'll post some pics later.

POST 23Original post

I have the winter wheels on now. Will a DE foto do? I don't drive it in the snow but like to on those crisp 20 degree dry winter road days, like Friday . No luggage.

POST 24Original post

Unfortunately I have to let it go. Its been a great ride. Awesome power- http://www.zarbo.us/40th.html

billh, You're selling your car???

POST 26Original post

Quotes source post: 4842792

Ebay had a "free" listing weekend. I listed it on a lark because a friend of mine might be selling his GT3 and I said, "what the heck!" I don't expect it to sell...but, if it does, then maybe I'll be in a GT3!

POST 27 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Here's a pic of my baby from last weekend.......

POST 32Original post

I just took delivery of mine on April 25th with 17.6K miles. Excellent inside and out. Has a lot more power than the 01 996 I had a couple of years ago. Really like the car.

POST 33Original post

Purchased CPO (6k miles) in 11/04. Even with IMS failure at 30k, it's still my favorite car. The combination of performance, practicality, and presence is a winner. Interior pic shows Recaro Sport Toplines.

Haven't posted here in a long while... But still here and still enjoying my 40th Anniversary 911 #1034. Purchased since new in 09/2004 and ready for a 4 day LA to Grand Canyon & Sedona trip later in the month with wife and kid. Love doing road trips in it -- have done HWY 1 LA to San Fran a few times, Sequoia Natl Park, Yosemite, and bunch other places. This is the best family car ever!
