Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

24 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OK, I knew the month of May was not going to end on a high note for me because that is when the 996 goes back to the leasing company. However, I didn't expect the month to also begin poorly. I flew home to NC from Dallas on Thursday evening. Had a Dr. & Dentist appointment for Friday morning. Dr. said I have a sinus infection... no big deal. Dentist said I have an abscessed tooth big deal. Tooth had a root canal done 3 years ago. Specialist cut on my gums at 7:30 this morning, cuts the top of the tooth root off and fills it.. bigger deal. Wait it gets better! Saturday afternoon I am doing some work around the house. Go out to the garage and notice my golf clubs are gone. Ask my wife if she moved them. Her eyes get really W-I-D-E and she says NO! Golf clubs were stolen even bigger deal! They were in the garage when I was home 4 weeks ago. Painkiller is wearing off and my jaw feels like I was in a fight last night. Heaven help any Newbies that try to post without any !@#$%^&* pics today! OK, rant over! Back to our regularly scheduled program.

POST 5Original post

Sorry, sometimes it doesnt pay to roll outa bed! Hang in there, itll get better!

POST 6Original post

Get on the pain meds before it gets too bad. It's harder to tame if you let it get out of control.

Ben, Yeah, it could be much worse. These are just irritations.

POST 8Original post

How about keeping the Pcar now that you don't have the clubs anymore? You can't give everything up!!

I would love to keep her, but at this time, that option is not in the cards. Too much still "up in the air." Still need to sell the NC house, my wife does not yet have a teaching job in Dallas for next year, and we still need to buy a house in Dallas.

OK, the golf clubs USED to be here.

POST 13Original post

for me i don't like to complain in general because it could be much worse.. like being hungry. but i understand it's cool to rant esp on an internet car forum.

POST 14Original post

Feel your pain Tim. When I lived in Fl (which is pretty damned similar to Texas both in temperature and in temperment), a friend of mine once had a motorcycle stolen from his garage. Here's the best part, the bike was wedged in front of his car and they lifted it OVER the car to get it out of the garage. The important lesson I took away is that a garage is not secure...which really bothered me at the time since I keep a LOT of crap in the garage. But it's crap. I now keep the expensive stuff inside the house/basement. Anyway, sorry to hear about your surgery, the car lease expiration, and the golf clubs. At least it seems that your internet is working this morning.

POST 15Original post

That sucks big time Tim: the tooth, the infection , the clubs, your Pcar departure....who knows, someone may buy your home in NC and your wife will land a teaching job in Texas, all at the same time.(a bit of positive thinking always seems to help). GL in all avenues.

POST 16 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Edward - yeah, the internet connection is good because I am still in NC. I fly back to Dallas this afternoon and return to the "Pony Express" version of connecting to the internet. Barn - thanks. Yes, it will all work out, sooner or later. My preference would be sooner!

Thanks Ben!

POST 19Original post

Tim, retail therapy is what I strongly recommend over any pain killers. Get your butt down to the dealer and order your next Porsche. You'll feel better with a prescription from Dr. Ing. h. c. F. Porsche, guaranteed!

I LOVE you idea.... but....... uhmmm...... if I did that, my wife would do testicular surgery on me with a butter knife! It would not be pretty!

POST 22 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 5381147

Well, at least now you understand why I can't order a 997 at THIS time (never say never.... just say "maybe later").

POST 23Original post

My man, these are toys. You are in transition and sometimes toys have to go. Hell, that's what happened to me in 2005 for a year when I did without Ferry Porsche's medication. Kudos to you for having perspective and patience. Hope the internet connection in Texas is shipshape.
