This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...spagenameZWD1V I haven't had mine long enough that I've had to replace the wiper blades, plus I rarely drive it in the rain so I figure I still have some time. Just happened to come across this auction and wondered if there are some special type of wiper blades that the 996 uses? I just assumed I could find some replacement blades at Autozone for $10 when the time comes? Am I wrong to assume that? Of course the ones above do come with free shipping so maybe that's not so bad

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just answered my own question: http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductD...pe=326&PTSet=A $10 at Advance Auto.... whew, that's more like it.

POST 3Original post

If you buy the $10 ones, you can't tell people that you have $100 wiper blades.

POST 4Original post

Ask e-bay for a $100 price tag sticker and leave it on the Autozoners

POST 6Original post

I don't know if this is the reason why, but the passenger side wiper is curved, (like a smile) and not straight, though I've heard straight ones still work. So yeah, the one is pretty different!

POST 7Original post

I like the curved wiper blade. It scoops all the water away from the windshield instead of spraying it from the end as it goes across the top.

And the driver's side has an air deflector to keep it plated on the windshield at speed.

POST 10Original post

The auction is for 3 blades, two front and one rear. Not sure if that still justifies the cost but just thought I would point it out.

i just got those recently. only thing is that, on mine anyway, the passenger blade doesn't sit completely flush at the very end of the blade to the glass. it's only the last inch at the most curved part of the windshield. otherwise, works great.

Which model did you get? Mine sits flush.

My friend's MB SL500 came with it stock.
