Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I was thinking about trying it again and pulling the battery terminal to reset the ecu, or maybe adding a thicker gasket to try and seal the PVC attachment better.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So I saw the intake mod on renntech that you could do for $9.99 Basically I took my intake box off and removed the baffle/muffler/silencer,I then took a 2" PVC attachment fitting stuck it in through the bottom without blocking it off, and attached the bypass/recirculation line that comes off the factory 3" or so intake runner. When I started up the car again it stalled. I started it up a second time it stuttered for about a minute and stalled again. I reinstalled the baffle/muffler/silencer and it ran fine. I am wondering if others have suffered from this problem. Is this just a matter of the ECU having to "learn" this mod and running it will work? Or does this mod not work with the stock intake runner. I was thinking about trying it again and pulling the battery terminal to reset the ecu, or maybe adding a thicker gasket to try and seal the PVC attachment better. I am running it without a gasket right now, but it fits snug so I assume there isn't a big enough vaccuum leak to cause the car to stall the way it did. Thanks Jordan
