Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I use my turn signal when necessary for my safety and/or the safety of others which isnt 100% of the time; far from it.
Leading evidence: 'Use turn signal' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check here' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

If you just hit the turnsignal switch easy then the turnsignal blinks 4 times and thats kind of nice function instead of holding in the switch everytime you have to change lanes or turn.

+1.I learned to drive using my blinkers, and I won't change now.I view it as an obligation or responsibility when driving.

Not sure NOBY, hardly anyone on our roads here in the US even use a blinker anymore. For that matter, I'm guessing they don't even know where the stalk is located!!?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey boyz
I lurking to find out if its easy or not to do this mod that new cars here in europe have. If you just hit the turnsignal switch easy then the turnsignal blinks 4 times and thats kind of nice function instead of holding in the switch everytime you have to change lanes or turn.
Does anyone know if someone has done it or if it would be an easy mod?

hmm if it's like most cars you probably would have to find the flasher unit / blinker control, figure out what sort of resistors control the blink frequency, wire in new resistors to make your adjustment, or i guess a potentiometer inline would allow you to adjust. That seems like a lot of trial and error work! Hopefully there's a simpler answer
Audi's have that feature (as well as almost every GM car)
My old S4 did not have it but I remember there being a mod to get that to work.
Google search turned up this..

What I want is that Autobahn mod that flashes the brights at a frequency of infinity. How the hell do they get the steering wheel stalk to rock back and forth that quickly?
The new 997 and new Cayman and Boxsters and Cayennes (the 2004 Cayenne had this as well) all have this feature as standard. My 996 does not have this and I was not aware there is a mod that can add this feature.
The 996 uses the same flasher relay for the turn signals as the emergency flashers. Any modification to that relay would affect both features.
Also, the flasher operates on a current sensing basis, and will not work if the turn signal stalk isn't activated. So if you just blip the lever and release it, the circuit is broken to the lights.
So, with rewiring and a new flasher relay you can add this feature.

At least once a week someone calls into the Sound Off (local paper anonymous column) and complains that people dont use their turn signals. Their rants always amuse me. Turn signals are strictly for defensive driving. I use my turn signal when necessary for my safety and/or the safety of others which isnt 100% of the time; far from it.
you may be able to retrofit this into the porsche using someone who has a writeup on an Audi. On the Audis it's called KomfortBlinker.

Down this way, using your blinkers is seen as a sign of weakness. I use them just because, but as a bonus, it baffles others drivers long enough for me to safely sweep into the lane I need to get far away from them.
