I strongly considered the PSE Mk II mod, but as I was trying to find a local muffler shop that would actually do the welding, I was offered a "lightly used" Gemballa exhaust system (complete with tips) so I'll be going down that road.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've come "this close" to buying a B&B and a Ztek exhaust, only to get sniped at the last minute. %$#@*&% Ebay. Anybody have an extra aftermarket exhaust system taking up room in the garage? I don't think I want to go the PSE route - I want something I can bolt on myself that weighs less than the stock system.

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It was worth asking. I'll go back to haunting eBay & Pelican.

POST 3Original post

I still have my Fabspeed G2 Moderate w/100 cell cats. I haven't actively marketed it and a few folks expressed some interest when I was swapping it out a month ago for the Fabspeed G3 Quiet on my Cab. I was told then I should be able to get $1,800 for it. The few that expressed interest offered around a grand, but I was hoping to get $1,600. It has less than 3,000 miles on it!

POST 5Original post

Not sure. Came off my '04 996TT. Maybe others here can help out.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm sure someone will chime in. I should have specific that I need them for a C2.

POST 8Original post

Sorry Porschedog...you'll have to keep looking!

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, guys, Yeah, I know I could cut to the chase and order a set of new Fabspeeds or Billy Boats, but where's the sport in that? (that is Plan B)

would it fit on a 2002 996 C4S? John

POST 12Original post

Porschedog, have you considered doing the PSE MK II mod to your current cans? Then will definitely sound better than stock, but you won't get the weight savings. You can have a local muffler shop do the mod for about $100 if you remover and replace the mufflers yourself. Other than a $100 or so and a few hours of your time, what do you have to lose? Just a thought. I LOVE the sound of my modded cans.
