Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Thinking about changing my seats ... haha i know ... change this change that i am going crazy! What do i need to change to get my seats to be manually operated. Hate the electronic seats. Was reading up on seats and it is a bad idea to buy without testing ...

POST 4Original post

Seats are part of your safety system, regardless of whether you are using harnesses on the track, or a three-point belt on the street. Do you really want to trust your health/life to brand-x seats? I don't mean this from a Porsche snob perspective. There are lots of manufacturers of aftermarket seats that are very good. But I stay with name brands (Porsche, Recaro, Cobra, Sparco, ...) And if I were looking for a fixed-back seat for track and street, I would look first at the 996 euro-GT3 seats. ...and probably stop looking right there. They fit right in the car with no modifications, easy to install, high quality, comforatble, and SAFE.

+2 and that's what I am going to do. I am going to get myself some proper euro gt3 seats after trying them.

POST 7Original post

Another comment on the GT3 seats: When you look at the price, they initially seem high. But the price on the Porsche seats includes side mounts and sliders, while most of the aftermarket seats like Sparco, Recaro,... do not. Once you figure in the mounting hardware, the price differential diminishes considerably.
