It really wasn't getting too hot, but it's got to be running cooler now.

I haven't had a chance to take it out for a spin yet, so I can't tell if it's going to run cooler or not.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks to all for posting the information needed to do this job. No surprises; very straighforward. The nose was off in about 15 minutes. I had some accumulation behind the condensors, but not too bad. I did get a chance to do one thing that had been bothering for some time; painting the hood release! Mine was faded to almost a pink color, now it is red again. If you've owned your car for over a couple of years without doing this job, take a couple of hours and get it done!

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Definitely! I haven't had a chance to take it out for a spin yet, so I can't tell if it's going to run cooler or not. It really wasn't getting too hot, but it's got to be running cooler now.

POST 5Original post

Congrats! BTW, what did you paint the latch with? (What type of paint)

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The only red paint I had was red caliper paint, so I just used that. Turned out great and no trip to the hardware store!

POST 7Original post

My front latch handle looks pink as well. Cleaning the front radiators/condensers is a feel good mod after seeing so much accumulated debris.
