Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that report identifying a cause
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Reported cause
The stalling issue is specific to the 964 and MY95 993.
Leading evidence: 'specific' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'specific' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Install sooner' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Anyway there is a solution and its being tested now for compatibility between model years.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I don't really need a clutch but would like to install a light weight flywheel. I've noticed the prices are very different for 3.4 vs 3.6. I have a 3.4 and would like to find the best deal out there.................... I'd even be interested in a used flywheel somebody does not want............... as long as the flywheel has no issues! Thanks.
Sorry, but this is misinformation. I am running Sachs Stage 2 clutch with LWFW. If you stall this you don't know how to drive a manual. It is basically no different than stock as far as stalling goes. I would recommend it. I got mine from Kevin at Ultimatemotorwerks!
The stalling issue is specific to the 964 and MY95 993. To improve mileage and to keep unburnt fuel from finding its way into the catalytic converter the Bosch Motronic ECU turns off the injectors when your foot is off the gas once the engine has warmed up and the engine is coasting. With those two models the fuel is not turned on fast enough (i.e. high enough RPM) so with a LWF the engine RPM drops a lot quicker than the ECU was expecting and by the time the fueling is turned back on it is too late. There is also a slight problem related to battery voltage. Anyway there is a solution and its being tested now for compatibility between model years. The idle chatter can be reduced by raising the idle speed.
