Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

very nice, 20K installed but you get a 2 year warranty.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

i like my 996 so much, too much so i have to get one more!!
i was thinking picking up a 3.4 coupe, then add EVO sc, aero-kit, GT3 wheels, etc. total will be somewhere around $60.
until i saw this

decisions, decisions,
i do have an EVO kit and as much as i like it, it doesn't have the torque punch that a TT would provide.
personally, i would get the TT (if it is clean and no stories), make it into 2WD, get rid of the front diff to lighten it and uprate the suspension. one thing about modding the TT, it gets quite expensive.
Torque punch ? Which one ?
I recently drove a Turbo and was VERY dissapointed.
Like my 996 as a daily driver but miss the power of the Viper, which was my previous car.
Thought the Turbo would be the solution for me, but boy, was I wrong. You really need to wring its neck before it starts moving.
Think I might just have to go back to American muscle...
The Viper just looks as though it was designed by a bunch of high school kids implementing the latest styling trends of what they think is cool. It's got power, but it seems more for the gold and chain crowd than the track and tour contingent.
can we not to talk about viper for a moment?
u guys are all over the place!!!! lol
anyway, after looking at the TT price, i think the EVO SC kit is over-priced, what do u think?
yes it is overpriced... especially when evo/vFengineering's kits for audis/vw/bmws are thousands less. it's the porsche tax... you encounter that everywhere.
yes it's overpriced. the actual vortech SC unit is 2100$ retail, a spearco water-air intercooler is ~600$ engine tuning is ~1100$, another 2K for fuel injectors/plumbing/bitsandbobs so the rest is r&D/profit.
yes it's overpriced but is still one of the cheaper kits. TPC is a little cheaper, great if you can stand the high pitched, loud whine of the eaton SC. the other alternative is the Ruf system... very nice, 20K installed but you get a 2 year warranty.
SC can still be cheaper than going for a TT. you can find a good 996 for <40K and add 12K of supercharger. generally, you will get stock TT performance... just not the torque.
