Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

...although, I'm in no hurry considering the cost of changing the wheel and the airbag.
Leading evidence: 'Replace wheel and the airbag' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace wheel and the airbag' (1 discussions). Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Poseur, haha. Whats funny I just joined this rennlist.com about 2 days ago. I've read the whole thread where the "poser" thing began. I saw a Porsche with its tail up today and it actually came in my head "poseur" lol. It was 110 out here today so I decided to put my tail up and be "poseur" today. lol. LVDell, that picture you have as your avatar under your name, where can I get a steering wheel like that? Thats like exactly what I want to put into my car.
I bought it through the dealer. Runs about $900 and is leather and "alumalook" to match the center console, etc. I have in the car.
FYI....I lived in Vegas for 4 years and that wheel SUCKS in 100+ heat. Unbearable to touch when the temp rises. I bought it BEFORE me and the wife got into tracking the car or I would have never bought it. Love the look, hate the hot touch
I've been considering a change to a 3-spoke wheel and wondered if that was the case. I'm glad that you mentioned that.
...although, I'm in no hurry considering the cost of changing the wheel and the airbag.
C/F does the same thing. So d*mn hot you almost cant drive the car! Agree with Dell, the look of the upgrades are great, the functionality with the heat - stinks. CARNEWAL has a couple nice new additions, BTW.
Pity. I figured that if I were to change to a 3 spoke wheel it would have to be Al or CF in order to make it worthwhile... what you've said makes me think that I'm better staying with what I have.... I don't mind the 4 spoke so much.
...you know I just don't get why people like to live in the desert....
My in-laws are in Tucson and I just don't get it... hellish hot weather, cacti, snakes and old people... oh joy!
Thanks.
heheh.. and here I was thinking that you might comment on the size of my intakes.
I like the black on white color scheme. It works pretty well for the car. I'll probably continue adding to the aluminum and carbon fiber that's already in the car.
...I would never have considered buying a white car before this one, but I'm glad that it did... it looks really sharp and it hides dirt really well (surprisingly). The other thing is that the depth of image in the paint is incredible... none of the paint swirl problems of darker colors and none of the paint touch-up problems of metallic colors.
Yeah, I might not have stalled on the first pass. <grin>
...most embarrassing moment of my life.
Steve posted our times on the rtr website and I posted a pic of the two of our cars side by side.
Ya, tryin to decide if I like 'em or not. On one hand they look cool, on the other hand, they take away from teh stock look of the car, which I like.
But I like the aluminum dial trims, and I hate the 4 spoke steering wheels. They seem to go back all the way to 993's
Peace,
G
Well, to be honest I bought the car with them installed. I've since seen them on two other cars and they grow on you.

I had considered upgrading the headlights to the litronics, but I would lose the covers, so decided to keep them as they are, as they do stand out in a crowd and makes it look a little different.
Apparently, the previous owner was an "enthusiast" and put nice touches like that on the car before he traded up to a turbo. My favorite mods the he did was the Evo V flow system and the B&B exhausts.
I have mixed feelings about the steering wheel. I priced the 3-spoke, as I like the look of it, but when it came down to it I didn't dislike the 4-spoke enough to spend over $1000 on a new 3-spoke and an airbag.
Ya, Im with ya. Live with it, its not that bad. I had the 4 spoke when I had my 1st 2000 Boxster. I put a porsche emblem on it, I think that made it look better. My friend has a 99 cab, he could care less @ the steering wheel.
No, as I said, I don't dislike it. In fact I actually like the embossed emblem more than I would like a colored or silver emblem, as it fixts with the monotone color of the car. I'm not sure a colored emblem would look right on the car when everything else is black, white, aluminum or carbon fiber.
