Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that suspect a cause
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'grey market car' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'grey market car' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Welcome. Larger photos please. I use them in my changing screen saver. I have about 1500 996s in there now. Welcome to the board. Nice looking car. Tiptronic is probably a wise choice for busy downtown Japan.
Finally took delivery of the 996 today. Hardest part was proving you can park in Tokyo, can't own a car until that happens. Get the registration over to my name Friday. It's easier to get married than to buy a car in Japan... Basically took delivery and drove it into my parking spot, well a quick thrash round the block a few time. Very impressive, it's the first Porsche I've owned and after 5 minutes behind the wheel I am certainly hooked.
Hehe, in NZ we import lots of cars from Japan, including 911 and my car. Like this

although my car was brought to Japan from the UK (delivered by an OPC in Sweden). My 996 has been to countries I've never been to!
Its probably the same phenomenon as RHD cars here. It has a certain cool factor because it's different. They are harder to drive and less safe when the wheel is on the wrong side. Nice car by they way.
