Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Got a decent deal for one used and shipped in my paint code. Was not too fun to install but all went well. Have to do some touch up work to fix a little damage from shipping but I like it. Did the microswitch tie mod so the spoiler light does not come on. Still has a code stored when you scan it showing spoiler brake light is not connected but no cluster light code for that...no issues for me. Again, this is my personal taste and I like it.
New Pioneer Double Din is going in this week hopefully also.
Also, these mods were done to my PERSONAL taste so some of you may not like them.
The rims are a modern update look to the turbo style.
Interior is pretty much stock besides track mats and gauge rings. Yes...I am one day going to hardwire the Valentine 1. Right now looking forward to the NAV/DVD double din install. Kenwood here is going in one of my other cars.
The other exterior mods were pretty cheap....tinted tails and the magnetic fender guards that have a mix with old and new. Again, I like it....you may not.
EDIT: Not many mods besides the Fabspeed intake and bypass pipes
Drive it in most weather besides snow. IMS fix, rebuilt transmission from GBOX and differential. New clutch, RMS/AOS...all done 10K miles ago. This one is a keeper for me. Hope you guys enjoy.
Can't remember...I found the link on a site a few years ago. They make them for each model. I think they were like $75 for the pair. They do not scratch the paint and look like they belong. I take them off when I wash the car.
Sounds very nice but I have had the bypass pipes on for over 2 years and I really enjoy the sound of them. Also, if you know how to be easy on the pedal..no issues with neighbors or cops. When you get on it is a different story.
He was a great seller and packed it very well. Regardless, stuff happens during shipping. Has some stress cracks in it and areas I have to fill in small places. Overall, I am happy.
Also, I have some H&R drop springs to lower it a little, been sitting in the garage for a few years...but think I will wait till my suspension needs replacement. The roads in Colorado are really not the best for low cars so I deal with it. Looks decent to me. On most days, it is a daily driver....
New audio just came in today also...waiting for install.........
Thanks all, I got the stone guards from this place a few years ago. They still look like new and no fading. I use 303 Aerospace on them for protection. They stick on there very well and like I said, no paint scratches. They make them in gloss black, flat black, and a carbon fiber look. They are shaped for the 996.

Not the best picture of the new stereo install, but you get the idea.
I changed the stereo start up screen to a nice Porsche one. Glad I finally took the plunge for a double din. Next I am getting a back up camera installed and finally hard wiring the Valentine 1.
Once I find a good deal on a perfect fit turbo look front and rear bumper for the narrow body....I am done. Right now it is not a main priority.
And for people asking about where I got the magnetic stone guards.....

The website is not too advanced but they are legit and the quality is nice. They have them cut for the 996. Again, I like them and they have a classic look that kind of makes the 996 look shorter....hope this helps some people out.
Thanks to the forum also for my few years of research here and tips on things
