Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a lapis blue Cabrio ('02) with the hard top, which I never use (live in SoCal). I had been keeping it in storage but am emptying the unit. I now have a garage. Any ingenious ways to store so as to minimize space? Also, I'll never use it and have thought about selling it. Any feedback on likely value? Thanks, Eddie aka Throttle

POST 2Original post

Hard top is only worth ~$500-700 in CA. Here is a thread with a way to make a one person hoist for ~$120. Then you store it on the hoist near the ceiling. https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...oist-help.html

POST 3Original post

I am actually looking for one arctic silver one in the phila area. The value is generally under 500 around here. In fact the last two I bought were in the 300 range. If anyone has one in silver let me know. I do like them for the winter. Although they are a pain to store.

POST 4Original post

I built a hoist from parts at Home Depot (probably spent less than $25) and mounted to the ceiling in my garage. I'm able to install and remove by myself - might be worth hanging onto if it doesn't take up unused space. Living in CO, mine gets installed every fall and removed in the spring.

I'm trying to sell my arctic silver HT, but I'm in Houston... Arctic Silver Hardtop - Houston

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the tips, gentlemen. Think I'd just as soon sell it but since that would likely take some time it's great to have these tips.
