Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey Guys, Has anyone here ever had their on-board computer stop working. I have no display under the tach and the stock on the steering column is not working. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Did that with the book that was on the inside of the fuse box cover. Anything that said "info system" looks ok.

POST 4Original post

Info system may not apply. Look for control or instrument and any info system related fuses. For instance a quick scan of the fuses that have any of the above after their position, I find: Row B: fuses 1, 2, 8, 9, and 10. Row C: fuses 3. Row D: fuses 10 (slot for additional equipment). Row E: fuses 5, 8. Note too the fuse number assignments may be different for your particular model of car. If the fuses all prove ok then the stalk switch is suspect I guess or even the ignition switch. Really the OBC not working is not a symptom I can ever recall coming across so beyond the obvious I have nothing.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the tips. I will give it a go and see what shakes out. Always happens when you finally have a buyer for your car! I want to make this right so I hope it is an easy (cheap) fix.
