Anyone out there use B&B mufflers? If so, do they sound good? I understand they are made very well but I don't have any info from an actual user [996].

I have the mufflers and their headers. They sound good. I had them put on my buddy's 996 (same year as mine) but with stock headers and the pitch went up a bit but still sounded good. Sounds better in either configuration than the Gondo hack. He ended up getting the hack done to his mufflers so all this is first hand experience.

I was going to do the full meal deal with headers, cats mufflers, etc. but the engine builder told me to do the mufflers only because there isn't much [if any] gain. He has a dyno on site and has tested exhaust systems extensively.
I now have stjon's car... It sounds crazy!

Off brand headers... B&B mufflers... Catless long crossover pipes and dual tips!
Had them on my 79 SC. Loved the sound but the neighbors hated them. They also set off alarms in parking garages. But that was on an air cooled, if it makes a difference.
I snagged a pair for half price. They are too quiet for me but the lack of drone makes the trade-off worth it. Don't expect much of a volume increase over stock if you are just doing the mufflers. Funny thing is I was worried when I bought them because I'd heard B&B's that were LOUD on other makes.
