Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

to actually put enough gas in for the needle to rest on the Full mark? Or do I need to fix something....(not the answer I am looking for...just sayin..)

POST 3Original post

no problem in both my 996 and my Boxster. I have found that generally I can put in 1-2 more gallons after the auto shutoff, sometimes even 3. I keep going until the auto shutoff is almost immediate. Sometimes I turn the pump handle upside down and keep on filling. It depends a lot on the individual pump

LMFAO Yes I've noticed that too.

POST 5Original post

It's the gas nozzle design forcing an early cut off to prevent spillage. You will find some stations you can get a dash past F and others two dashes below F.

POST 6Original post

Who need the extra weight anyway? It's a weight reduction feature The Germans thought of everything

POST 7Original post

Pumped yesterday. It was 237 miles since last fill up. Pump stopped at 3 gal. Turned nozzle upside down and pumped to about 11 gal then from that point it was stop and go till just over 13 gal. Needle a tad over the 4/4.

POST 8Original post

Hmmmm. Mine doesn't have the F mark, just 4/4. Should I take it to get checked?
