Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Back in 2000 I had a 996 aero car, then a 2001 before I swapped to a 997S in 06' Been tossing around getting a Porsche after driving a heavily modified 2006 Lotus Exige for the last few years. Turning 40 so it would be nice to get into a Porsche for my back lol, so after speaking to my mother "Who also has a 996 Cab" up in Canada she is going to sell it to her son for a steal because she never uses it. Spec's 2000 996 Cab, Black Full leather, Slate Grey, Tip, Hard top ..Only 15,000 one owner miles!!! I added the squatted version of the folded taco rear wing from Champion and Gt3 side skirts. The car needs a cool front bumper.. Suggestions? I am thinking 996GT3 style the match the side and rear side skirts. It has sport design wheels already so I am thinking upgrade the Coilovers, Wheels Spacers and done! My other issue is if she "Gifts" me the car, has anyone attempted to bring a Canadian car into the US? Could be tricky.. I live in FL. Planned to drive it down Ill get some pics up.

POST 2Original post

What a deal, congrats! I don't think importing from Canada is too crazy, especially since all the warranties and whatnot are expired

POST 3Original post

Sweet! Have brought a few cars from the US into Canada and it's not too difficult - most painful is the 6% duty plus the taxes. Probably less costly going the other way. Good luck.

POST 4Original post

The only probelm with gifting is you will pay tax on actual market value. Its better to just put down a value you will be comfortable with (preferably less then market value).

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Wife is still hot, Pics are 10 years old lol. Car looks the same too lol

POST 6Original post

Just brought a C4s in from Montreal. PM for info. Biggest issue is making sure it's to US spec. EPA and DOT. If originally US car it should have stickers. If not you'll need letters plus probably more to do this. I brought back a car that was originally a US car. So not sure the headaches of not a US car. I also used a broker. So maybe it wasn't me who did the paperwork. But I checked the process myself and then with broker to make sure they knew what they were doing.
