Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Guys, Trying to find info on this car but eveytime I put the VIN in I get an error message. Can anybody help please wpozzz99z1s643718 Cheers Scott

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Tried that to. Most of the decoders are US based and the car I'm looking at is of course Aus.

POST 4Original post

Tried this? http://www.renntech.org/images/vin_d...INDecoder.html A few digits are ignored but it includes quite a bit of info of the car already.

POST 5Original post

Same problem here. I can't find anything other than generic info. That link blocks me with a fire wall error. Maybe because I'm in Japan. Could somebody do me a favor and out my vin in and see what it turns out? WP0ZZZ99Z3S604455 Cheers

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok...that's a bit odd. The ID plate on the car says build date 2001...

Oh oh. Frankenstein. J/K. Well, ( ( J/K ) / 2 ). Any time the "numbers" don't match you have to consider the car was created from 2 (or more) cars.

Not always. The link that is floating around for the dealers build sheet look up shows ours as a 2001 Targa. Everything other than the C4 vs Targa issue was correct. Since it believes it is a Targa, the Sunroof Delete option is pretty funny to me. Since I used the VIN right off the sticker and we've owned it its entire life and it was a BTO car, I'm pretty sure the system is wrong. That there was no 01 Targa kinda helps with that theory a bit too
