Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Nice! Love the 5-spokes and the stance and exhaust. I recently had a 997 sports exhaust fitted and it's doubled my enjoyment of the car.
One little inaccuracy in the video: the battery is in the frunk rather than the engine bay, and with the later cars (with the electronic switch) there's a way of opening the frunk even if the battery is dead. The manual lever is certainly simpler though!

You are half right about why the .2 headlights changed. The way it actually happened is when Porsche came out with the turbo they needed bigger radiators so they had to change the the headlights to make room for the brackets. People responded positively to the look and so it was adopted in the .2 in 2002. How do I know this? I put turbo radiators in my .1 to handle the heat from my 997S engine and the shop said I needed to get turbo headlights as well to fit. But like you, I like the .1 headlights better so I asked them to figure out a way to make it fit in a .1 aero bumper. They did with a custom bracket however if you look carefully you can see a bulge in the plastic bumper on the side because of the radiator pushing out.
The other thing is that if you loose all the foam from your vents, eventually you will not be able to control your heating since the foam is on your heat/cool baffle. The baffle is a metal Swisscheese baffle with foam on it so if you loose foam the baffle is full of holes.
With all that said, I enjoyed your video so thks for sharing. Also, what did you pay for it?
Congrats on the car.
Love your channel, Jeff. I've been subbed and watching since about halfway through your RSR build. You and the Mrs. are automotive YouTube gems. I'm super happy you'll be playing in my playground now
Cheers and keep it up!
Interesting to know. I didn't realise that the Turbo tail lights are also different as a couple of my mates suggested I get 'light savers', but the tail lights are completely different.
Right on Jeff!
I beat you by only a couple weeks jumping into a 996- though mine is a 2001 C4. Not the cheapest one out there, but over all a great car and excellent bang for the buck.
Fwiw- i can't wait to see what you do w it. In the meantime I'm following the Alfarrari with the appropriate amount of drool....the 911 engine build has been fun...
And- my wife and daughter both pop into the room when Mrs Jeff comes on....so way to go Mrs Jeff too!
Finally I can get onto some of the custom work for the Alfarrari and this week I have my first go at TIG welding Aluminium by making my new fuel cell fit the car.
