Greetings all, Just a general question out there - any recommendations for a ski box to share between my 996 Turbo and my Carrera for road trips this upcoming summer season? I'm hoping for some cross functionality/"attachability" to my Subaru and my 4 Runner. Any recommendations for quality/nice size for the 996? Thanks! -Matt

I’ve had the large Thule box for many years - originally bought it to use with our 1995 MB wagon on family road trips. Only had skis in it a couple of times, but have had luggage, golf bags and all kinds of stuff in it. Have driven at a pretty high speed with the box installed and no issues (90+ mph). You may have to adjust the front-rear position of the box on your 996 if you get too much wind noise. Couple of benefits to Thule - they can key all the locks to the same key, including the locks on the cross bars. So if you park at a hotel, thieves cannot easily steal the box off the car, but you still only have one key to deal with. Full disclosure - I have not used the box on our 996. Currently it is used occasionally on our Jeep GC, and may be used on our BMW 335i GT at some point. Daryll
