Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I use an cheapo plastic pan which is flat/low enough to allow me to do so.
Leading evidence: 'Use cheapo plastic pan' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'dumb question' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Use cheapo plastic pan' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I just bought these tips from Fabspeed and was wondering if anyone knows how easy they are to install. I was thinking of doing it myself when I receive them tomorrow but don't know how they actually get attached. The website says no welding, a simple DIY. So do they just slip on? If so, can't they slip off? Probably a dumb question.

look/study how your current tips are mounted.....pretty sure you will VERY quickly figure out this is a very easy DIY. To answer your questions, reuse the CLAMPS
from your old tips.
I honestly didn't look under there yet but I didn't think it would be something as simple as clamps. Thank god there's no such thing as a stupid question.
I have the same ones, just in black chrome. They mount using a stock clamp. I suggest getting new clamps as the existing ones are probably rusted. In my own experience the left one mounted perfect, right one was a pain in the ***. Had to bang the crap out of the back to make it fit correctly and it still points slightly to the right, but it could be adjusted.
You'll have to get the rear end up in the air and you'll need a deep socket and short ratchet to get in there to the clamp nut. First time is a bit tricky after that it's easy. Make sure when you install the new tips that the clamp is around both flanges completely. +1 on using the fabspeed clamps.
I also do NOT raise/jack up mine for an oil change. I use an cheapo plastic pan which is flat/low enough to allow me to do so.
NOTE: I position the car right at the junction where edge of garage meets the top slope of the driveway and VOILA, the perfect "overhang"
Not a really shallow pan. Iirc, just something off the shelf I picked up at Autozone or something. I'll try to take some pics or vid next time. Btw, my car is also lowered.
