On my 99 I'm having a minor issue controlling the airflow. When in manual control, if I press the button for the center vent, air flows out of the center and the upper defrost vents. If I press the center and footwell button, air ceases to flow out of the defrost vents. When using A/C and in Auto, it flows out of the center and defrost as well. The adjuster on the center stack vents is open and not closed off. Why is this a problem? Well other than an annoyance that it doesn't appear to be working correctly, the humidity in Miami is such that I get significant condensation build up on the exterior of the windshield when cold air is flowing through the defrost vents. This forces me to regularly use the windshield wipers to maintain a clear view. After searching, I didn't see any regularly reported issues like this. Anyone have any thoughts on where to look? Is it possible the diverter flap that closes off the defrost is either not moving fully or has a degraded seal (is that where all foam in the vents is coming from? Thanks in advance! -Lloyd
