Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All -- I am looking for either a savannah beige or carbon fiber uprated 996 Turbo shift **** -- the nicer one than the base 996 version. Does anyone have one they are willing to part with? Thanks, Jeff

POST 2Original post

Might be worth posting a pic of the style you're after - I'm guessing you're wanting the shorter Tequipment shifter.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Dan yes, thats what Im looking for!

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yep or the turbo version. Looking for a used one as Suncoast / Dealer prices for new are very high.

POST 6Original post

Good luck finding one of those for a reasonable price... If you dont have any luck and/or get tired of searching, something like this might be nice...

POST 7Original post

I have a very shabby Tequipment **** (the fancy one you are looking for). I just replaced it with the one dporto has. Good luck finding the Porsche one for a reasonable price.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So hard to find! I missed out on the Suncoast deal for the RS *****, but still, they don't feel as good in hand.

Is it black or savannah? If its black i'd be interested

It's only $975, go ahead and buy it. I have a FunctionFirst shift **** and really like it! Mine is black Delrin with white shift pattern. Black Delrin does not get hot in the sun.

POST 11Original post

Having visited Function First's site, it appears a 6-speed shift-pattern **** in Delrin is no longer available.

I contacted them , they are just out of stock and hope to be fully stocked by end of March

Where did you get that? That is exactly what I have been looking for years though I prefer smooth leather. 997 **** with 996 lower and silver trim.

Did you ever end up finding anything? I've got the OEM carbon fiber shifter and I kinda hate it. I grab the shifter from the top and this shifter was clearly intended to only be grabbed from the side. Plus it gets super hot in the sun (as I discovered the other day). The 997 OEM shifter looks pretty great but I have no idea how well those fit a 996 nor how much they cost. FunctionFirst seems like a decent alternative at $160 though I don't like the look as much and I'm a bit wary of having the cut my shift boot (which makes the **** replacement non-reversible).

POST 17Original post

I have a carbon turbo one. It says turbo on it. Selling carbon interior bits so I can keep my car due to income loss from COVID

POST 18Original post

Lmk im interested in your carbon fiber bits send pics and price thanks Mike
