Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Soon to be new owner of a 996 C4 Tip (manuals are rare here) in Singapore. The previous owner did a 997 front conversion which I am intending to revert. I had a look around at my local yard and they have some old 996 lights for sale but they are pretty burnt on the inside. I tried searching the forum and google but most searches came up with ways to deal with the exterior of the headlights, I've also not had any luck in identifying the part number for that silver trim around the headlights. Is this something that can be fixed or am I better off just getting a new set? The 996s aren't as plentiful here so breaker parts aren't so easy to come by. Burnt marks look to be on the inside
