Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

After much reading about others experiences and products, YouTube videos and experiments I'm excited to report the completion of my upgrade using very inexpensive parts.
Leading evidence: 'Use very inexpensive parts' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use very inexpensive parts' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

After much reading about others experiences and products, YouTube videos and experiments I'm excited to report the completion of my upgrade using very inexpensive parts. My total cost was under $100 and my time investment of actual work was about 5 hours. Required no special tools and am very happy with the results. I just wanted to share my experience. If anyone wants details on how I did it or where I purchased all the parts, just let me know...

Nicely done but from my experience most of the halo projectors I've tried didn't output the best lighting performance. YMMV.
I generally like the V3 versions that have the best lens clarity(grade A), better heat resistance of the plastic lense holders, beefy bixenon solenoids that last
longer without breaking or sticking, and highly polished reflector bowls. Difference of between 200-400 lumens can be expected with the higher quality projectors.
I was going for the look more than anything but the headlight performance is way over the top from the factory lights (at least as good as my Mercedes ml) and as far as the the hardware, beam switching etc, I left the high beam bulb in place so even if the beam switching fails my high beam lights still preform as they did before. Besides, I can't remember the last time I drove with high beams more than a mile or two. For me, under $100, and the chance to tinker with my car to make it stand out, it's a no brainier..
The parts I used:

Tools are very basic as seen in the first video. You'll need a good dermal tool but thats about it. I did some custom wiring to make the halo a daytime running light, the parking light is an LED (that make the old reflector glow nicely with a white glow). I left the high beam halogen bulb in place just in case the bi-xenon relay fails (although I don't think it will happen) I wanted the ability to flash my high beams without turning on the headlight. Something you can't do with just the bi-xenon conversion…
I can give blow by blow details and pictures if anyone is interested. I know these are not the highest end products and I may change them down the road but wanted to learn how to do it and see what kind of results Id get. I'm amazed at the quality of these products and performance. I just had to share.
Well done and looks good regardless so thanks for contributing. I'm sure those are way better than the Halogens you started out with and you no longer have to worry about burnt lenses.
For not too much more, may I suggest these to anyone looking for more light output and willing to lose the halos.

Hi Alpine,
Your link didn't work but i think this is what your referring to?

These "look" identical to the ones I used. The halo is just a trim option that can be changed or omitted from the install.
Yes!
Here
is a thread about them. In my post I've linked to a few already that are currently populating into our parts catalog. Slowly, but surely getting things set.
