Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone own these? Thoughts on them? Im looking for aggressive sound and no drone which Ive heard these fit the bill. I am considering doing the gundo/Fister mod.....but actually doing it the way PSE does it from the back of the muffler not the way Fister does it between inlet and outlet pipes. Also considering just doing the muffler delete possibly.....any input greatly appreciated from all you guys who have done this stuff! 99 C2 6MT..... Gundo mod......$450 Cargraphic mufflers.......$1080 Muffler delete........$150-$300 depending on brand

POST 2Original post

I have the Top Gear mufflers which is around $600 and might fit your bill. The drone is mild, certainly better than the muffler delete and they are lighter than the stock mufflers.

POST 3Original post

I have complete Cargraphic exhaust with their CARP96ET Sport Rear Silencer mufflers (TUV version). They are perfect for those that want a unique and exotic sound without blasting your neighbors (except during a cold start). It sounds great inside with no drone and while they are on the quiet side (but with the unique sound) it does get real loud when you mash the throttle. I wouldn't want anything louder for myself as I've outgrown the glasspacks and flowmasters of my youth.

Nice....would you say you like the setup better than the Fister mod?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 16907989

Thanks for info.....I would really want to go with the Sport setup and without TUV as I wouldnt need it here.....was thinking the most aggressive cargraphic setup would be what I would want. I hear you though on the loud factor as we get older. Dont want to be too obnoxious until I have to be....lol. So would you say your setup is better than Fister mod? More tame? More aggressive?

Thanks for responding! Thats great to hear......do you have any video with audio of the setup by chance? Would love to hear it....I know its always not perfect but would love to hear it still. Are you in California by chance?

POST 8Original post

There's an exhaust thread floating around that has video clips of almost all exhaust offerings for 996. I tried to search but didn't have any luck. It was on the main forum page within the past month or so, anyone happen to have a link?

POST 9Original post

I have the Cargraphic Super Sound (loudest) mufflers with no upstream mods (cats, headers, or the like), and love them. Not quite as loud as my Fisters (which I also loved, but managed to damage), but also with a somewhat different tone. Hard to describe, but seem more sophisticated (smoother?) and like the newer GT3 models, and less of a muscle car roar. A few snaps and burbles here and there, which is nice. I got them through Flat 6 Motorsports, whom I do strongly recommend. The mufflers were not particualrly expensive, all things considered, and are worlds better to my ear than the stock exhaust. For folks living in a neighborhood, they are the most ideal exhaust I have heard, and on balance I prefer them to the Fisters even apart from the lighter weight. No CEL, no negative drama or drone, well made, lightweight, and sharp looking (such as one can see them). Mine have Fabspeed chrome tips, which fit seamlessly.

That would be great! Yes please someone post that link here

POST 14Original post

We have stock exhaust and haven't yet researched all the different options, but when we're ready to upgrade we're going to have a switch controlling a solenoid to go between quiet and very sporty. Only drawback would be adding even more weight to the back of vehicle where we really don't want it.

I have this exact system except stock headers and no drone whatsoever with great sound in the high revs and a bit of a gurgle at idle.

I found it through search and bumped it, has a lot of good clips in it. Said I'd post mine (Billy Boat) but *slap on wrist* have yet to do so.

POST 17Original post

I would say it's quieter than a Fister mod normally but at WOT it gets pretty loud too (inside and out). The plus it has a better and unique tone and doesn't sound like a Tacoma V6 with a flowmaster (sorry folks).

Sorry no sound video but I am sure you can locate some via Google. Left CA 5 years ago. Live in Las Vegas now. Cargraphic makes great products.

POST 19Original post

I have a full Cargraphic setup - Super sound mufflers, 200 CEL x-pipe, and headers - love it - highly recommended. Easy to install and the quality is exceptional. Have fit a top gear xpipe on a friends 996 - doesn't compare to the Cargraphic... If you need a sound clip let me know

Would love a sound clip.....send whatever you have. Thanks man! Although Id just be looking at the mufflers ......being here in California and having to worry about the smog hassles.🤬. Would you say your setup sounds better than the Fister mod?

POST 21Original post

Quotes source post: 16914800

2nd that! Please post videos!

POST 22Original post

Yes much better than the fister mod and the mufflers are lighter. I'll post some sound clips of the super sound

POST 23 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 16920494

That would great thanks. Where will the posts be? Also, any check engine lights or issues following full exhaust install?

POST 24Original post

Quotes source post: 16921357

Sound clip attached - please note this is just the Super Sound mufflers on a 3.6 C2 Manual (not the full setup x-pipe or headers). I have not had any issues following the install - no CELs etc. They are properly designed so no O2 spacers etc are required. However, also note that my car only has pre-cat O2 sensors - being RoW it doesn't have any post-cat. Enjoy!
