Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261028T003752Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Can someone please post the torque spec for these bolts? I ordered the 101projects book great for taking apart but doesnt give you what you need to put back together. I have The Bentley on order but no quick ship option from Amazon.

Torque values change and so a lot of resources don't give out torque values. Get the "996 torque book" from the Knowledge Gruppe. Great handy quick reference guide to keep in your shop. https://www.theknowledgegruppe.com/

POST 3Original post

You can find them in the Bentley book as well. I did them a couple years ago, and I think the spec is 60 ft lbs dry.I tend to put anti seize on everything since I'm in the N/E. This reduces the torque to 45-50 ft lbs. 47 is a nice middle #...

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you. The Bentley wont be here until Wed but Im on vacation so this will allow me to put it back together today. Im in southwest Florida so some surface rust from humidity but nothing too bad. All the fasteners were in great shape coming off. Other than one time use bolts I did not have to replace any.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
