Suggestion

A quick test for this is to turn on your AC, which will automatically run the fans on low speed, and make sure both fans are running and blowing adequate amounts of air.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What is a better option for cooling my C2 for the track? 1) Adding a center radiator: https://www.pelicanparts.com/techart...r_Radiator.htm or 2) Replacing radiators with the CSF 7044 units: https://lnengineering.com/products/c...eft-right.html Thank you, Mark

POST 3Original post

Do you have water temp issues now ? I was very surprised on track with ambients in the upper 80s New England summer humidity no cooling issues what so ever with stock cooling system. I was fully planning to go the center rad route, now Im not sure if that investment will be better spent on an oil cooler solution.

+1 Between your two choices I would pick the center radiator which works well on track (not as much in everyday traffic since it does not have a dedicated fan). Are your radiators clean, specifically the area between the radiators and AC condenser units? Also, make sure you don't have a blown resistor which prevents your fans from operating on the low speed setting. A quick test for this is to turn on your AC, which will automatically run the fans on low speed, and make sure both fans are running and blowing adequate amounts of air.

POST 5Original post

I thought I was having temp issues on the track, as my gauge was close to the final white line. But the DME and ODBII were reporting only 102C water temp, which is not that hot.

POST 6Original post

I have the cfs rads and no center rad. I had no issues with temps for the standard 4 - 30min hpde sessions in a day. I may add the cfs center rad one day but dont think its needed. Also i changed mine because one was damaged and the other was 20yrs and 200k miles old.

POST 7Original post

My temp gauge never went past the 0 of 180deg, in summer with 105 d. Temps or during a 25 min. session at Daytona. Car is a 2000 C2. Bone stock engine.

POST 8Original post

I just bought the CSF center radiator kit from Pelican and started installing it today. I was shocked how much crap was in between radiators and AC. It was pretty bad. I decided doing this first and then swapping the side radiators later was the best option.
