Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 02 996. Had a year but never used CD player changer in frunk. I have played one CD at a time no problem. Anyhow, doing road trip next week so Ill need music. I open the unit and put 2 cds in slots 1&2. Pushed in and slide door closed to cd unit. Went into cabin and put on radio, went to CDD I think it was. It couldnt locate the discs though I chose disc 1 then 2. What am I missing if anything? Thanks

POST 2Original post

CDC (CD Changer...). I have no idea what the problem is. I'd load the whole thing up to see if any of the CD's load/play... Good luck... Short of getting it working, grab one of those $20 bluetooth modulators and you can stream music from your phone (it'll get you through the road trip)

POST 3Original post

If there is a CD in the head unit mine won't recognize the changer. I've got to take the one inside the car out and then it will sync. Maybe this is the problem?

POST 5Original post

Dumb question but your CD changer does have the cassette inside right?

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I had the cds upside down. All set, thanks.

Dont you love it when theres a simple fix to a seemingly broken item? My first home CD player required that CDs be put in upside down.

POST 8Original post

Was the home cd player from Australia?

That's exactly what I did the first time I used mine...oops. Worked like a champ once I flipped them over! Good to know I'm not alone.
