Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does it matter? Pelican sells both. One Blau(black) and one Porsche(blue). Both are 04 caps. I remember seeing guys comment on wrong color cap on reviewing pics. Did a search but found nothing conclusive. Was that joking or serious? Thanks

POST 2Original post

Blau is blue in German, I believe. Schwarz is Black.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So go with the Porsche version, got it. Mine is not bad just doing early spring parts replacing/improving.

POST 5Original post

"Blau is blue in German, I believe. Schwarz is Black." May the Schwarz be with you

POST 7Original post

Bringing this question back up. Blau is a brand name of parts and I'm not concerned about the German translation of colors into English. Depending on the internet parts source the Blau can be listed as genuine Porsche. Has anyone had trouble with this part leaking? We all seem to agree that after market parts on the coolant expansion tank are bad. All the part number cross listing shows that it is version .04. For instance the black one here is listed as genuine Porsche and the only difference is the "W" or "G" in the part number.

POST 8Original post

Buy the upgraded 04 blue cap and only original Porsche part. The caps leak mainly because they aren't tight. And when I mean tight...very tight. No aftermarket cap. Forget about that. All the previous versions leaked or didn't hold pressure. That's why they updated the cap. My blue cap has never leaked anything.

POST 9Original post

I would only get the blue cap (04). I have never heard this cap doing any other than solving problems for folks that had a different one. Ive had mine now for almost 4 years.
