Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Folks, Putting my '99 3.4 996 back together after replacing the SAI valve. As I am reassembling, I got to this, which from the parts diagram sounds like the adapter and bracket to which the angled pipe (99923049840) connects, routing from the manifold out to the venturi tube. I suspect the lock washer ( 99923051240) is missing. It seems like this should be a secure, airtight connection. In my case it pops off with ease. Seems like that would be a bad thing. Am I missing something here? Should it be a nice tight connection? Thank you for your help! Here's the tube and connection.

POST 2Original post

Yes, you are missing the plastic "c-clips" that secure the connection..

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you Porschetech. Wonder how long that's been missing, and whether it has been leaking around the connection.
