Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Instructions say to use the heat gun to soften the paint so it won't crack and very gradually roll the inner fender lip through multiple passes.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

According to Porsche TSB Group 4, 06/11 Approved Tires, Wheels and Spacers I need to roll my fenders in order to safely accommodate my tires and rims with 17 mm spacers on the rear of my 2000 C2 Cab.
I have located a rental Eastwood Fender Roller with a Porsche 5x130 adapter. Instructions say to use the heat gun to soften the paint so it won't crack and very gradually roll the inner fender lip through multiple passes. TSB says I want to achieve a 60 degree angle from horizontal.
Has anyone else ever tried this? I'm going to document this project and post it once I get the roller kit.

OK. So here are the before and after pictures. The fender roller worked very well. Very simple to use, just go slow, heat the paint and gradually swivel the roller head to bend the lip to the angle you want. I had no paint cracking and was very pleased with how this device worked.
If you want to widen your stance and avoid cutting a tire, this is a great way to achieve the clearance you want. Rollyourfender.com (no affiliation)
I did mine several years ago. Rented a unit from this place.

Came with the heat gun. At that time they did not have the adapter for the 5x130 but I improvised. They have the adapter now.
It was really not that hard to do, but go carefully you do not want to crack the tpaint.
I've done it that way for 20+ years.
It's good for a half an inch plus angled in so it's really more. It is one of those things that you get better with the more you do.
If the car is factory paint I can do it without chipping or cracking the paint, if not then it will crack almost for sure, however, where it cracks is usually just inside the fender lip so it doesn't look too bad. And it beats cutting a tire on a car when entering a fast turn at speed.
define roll..
I just kept rolling and rolling and rolling lol
I have rolled fenders before and I gotta agree with the post that said "heat them up first" it really helps the whole process.
