Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good evening, i m from Spain and this is my 1st message here. I am considering about buying a `01 996 TT with Sport heated seats, black alcantara roof, carboceramic Brakes, Panoramic Sunroof, Parking Sensors, Manual and 99.000 kilometers. It is in astonishing good shape, exterior and interior are Mint. Thing is: It has got GT2 Wing and front bumper, and got installed a DP Motorsports Aerokit and Braid 3 pieces wheels, which makes it way wider than standard. About maintenance, it got new clutch, new fuel pump, oil changed and brake fluid also done. Owner is asking me 40.000Euro for it. I like the car a lot, but dunno if later on, in some years when i want to move on and sell it, nobody would want it cause the body modification on it. What do you guys think? I attach some pics of the car so you can see what i am talking about. Thanks in advance. https://ibb.co/GJ3Xk4W https://ibb.co/Sfb7HsN https://ibb.co/GVHRCGS https://ibb.co/q07TD4T https://ibb.co/3dK7PzK https://ibb.co/x2wtmJp https://ibb.co/8gx8qF0

POST 2Original post

My opinion on resale value is always as follows: Something is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Are you willing to pay 40k Euros for it? Then there's no reason to believe that there won't be someone else interested in the car, in the future, for a similar price point (scaled with respect to future value increases of 996TTs). The biggest question for you is, why are you buying it? For your personal enjoyment? Then the mods only matter to you. It will have value if you decide to sell it and move on, and you will have enjoyed it along the way. For an investment? Cars are not good investments, but if that's the case, this one has too many miles and the non-stock mods mean that while it will appreciate (depreciate?) along with all other 996TTs, it won't appreciate as fast as a stock low-mileage example. But then you would be terrified of driving it and losing value, and where is the fun in that?

POST 3Original post

Wow, that ride-height is super low. I hope you have really flat roads and no driveway curbs where you are or that body kit isn't going to last long.

POST 4Original post

Nice looking car though if the price is right I like the addons give it a unique look Mike
