Custom because it was half the price of the OEM headliner all in using actual alcantara shipped from Italy.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster here looking for help. I need the part number for this little sheet metal clip numbered #13 below and circled in the image in red. It holds the coat hook in place on the 996 chassis cars. I can't seem to find the part number for it anywhere. Or if anyone has spares, I'd be happy to pay for it! It's driving me crazy to have one coat hook hanging off slightly more than the other. Thanks in advance for the help!

I recently had my headliner replaced and need to replace the damaged plastic hanger and a missing clip so I had the part numbers known and handy. I'll order the items next time I have some other items to pick up.

I use that website AutoAtlanta.com all the time to identify parts because they list their parts per the diagrams and so if I don't know the name of it but I know where it is in the car, and even better if I know the quantity because that is listed in the parts list on the right hand side. I just pulled up the section for interior/body, found the page for the lining and skimmed along that B-pillar section from your diagram until I found it. The fact that you provided your own diagram helped me find it really fast.

Out of curiosity, did you replace the rear plastic trim that holds the headliner up in place as well? Pictured as #5 in attached image. Mine has one broken tab that I'm going to try to repair with plastic glue, but if it doesn't work I'll be ordering it.

Thanks for the tip... The official dealer sites are super unorganized compared to this one!

POST 10Original post

I agree with Dr__Strangelove, the AutoAtlanta website can't be beat for finding part #'s /info on parts, be cautious about ordering from them though, they will hold your money and drop ship from different warehouses that can cause problems at times.

Noted, thank you... Luckily I ordered from a local dealer

I had the headliner rattle but I made the interior shop aware of it and it's no longer there after they put n the custom headliner. Custom because it was half the price of the OEM headliner all in using actual alcantara shipped from Italy. Besides the little plastic trim pieces nothing else broke that I'm aware of.
