Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Sigh of relief once I diagnosed the issue and replaced with the same cap you described above for under $40 bucks.

Suggestion
Replace the black parts and the horseshoe with carbon, and it'll be perfect.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello im a new to Porsche member from Norway. Yust bought a Nice 2000 C4 Cab With 27.000 miles on the clock. I Love it ! Its black With boxter red all leather interior. 030 ROW suspension and looks like new.
Mods i have done so far is carbon keylock surround, ashtray and hazardlight. Im thinking shortshift With extended centre console and orderd new steeringwheel from Carnewal.
Also New speakers and alpine stereo.
Installed the mods4cars cab mod and its so good. Can now open the roof upto 40 km/h, open the rear windows and one touch to open close. Really recomend this mod. Easy install and programming.
The car is now in for a preventiv IMS and RMS install for peace of mind. We allready did videocam of the sylinders and it shoved no borescoring. The IMS was a dualrow so shift this to a new skf with open oil filtration and a bigger IMS Shaft. The work is carried out from SSP here i Norway that really now 996 engines.
Get the car back tomorrow so really looking forward to owning a bullet proof 996.
Oh and the RMS was leaking
.
Here is the car
Tnx. Personally i think its to much red. I Cant wait for the new 340 steering Wheel ( witch is black) i also ordered a spacer so i can get more leg room. Im 195 cm so a tall driver.
Also thinking about more carbon but not too much. Maybe sidepockets and doorhandels
Yeah we changed the drivebelt and inspected the water pump. All is fine and he belives it is to early for a change. Maybe do this preventive next year. The car will be in storage trough the winter becouse of the climate here. No salty roads for my car.
I did have a leak from the coolant cap. But changed this to the later one 004 modell and all is good. Also did the bumper remomal and cleaned out the rads so cooling is good now.
Ah the cooling cap! Literally brought the car home from the dealer. Parked and watched steam coming from my engine and coolant dripping on the ground. I was Pissed beyond imagination.
Sigh of relief once I diagnosed the issue and replaced with the same cap you described above for under $40 bucks.
Red color looks great some black offset trim will do Make it stand out even more only gets better!
Very nice! Welcome... I love that interior color (looks more "cinnamon" than Red...). Best of luck with 'er
** The house and garage look very cool too...
Well i think its 3 things. Be able to get the top on when car is in motion i programmed mine to 40 km/h, yust press the button ones and it automaticly gets the top down or up, no need to hold the button anymore, and to get the rear windows up during top down makes cabin a nice place to be top down
Love the red interior. I was looking at a silver one with red interior in my area that was sitting on a dealer lot, but they just wanted too much for it.
New IMS and RMS In
My case
IMS Out
So got the car back from SSP I Norway, New RMS and IMS install. Also New clutch and some other small stuff. Runs like a champ. Heres Pictures from the mech.
Yes that was the first thing we ehen i bought the car. Its no need to do all the precautions if the engine still has to be rebouldt. SSP has spesialiced in reinforced sylinderwalls here in Norway so he was eager to make sure the eninge was good before we went on.
Actually horseshoe batwing av delete of lover storage and cd are the plans. Also like the cf doorpockets and handle trim but for now its ok. I plan to do nothing more untill next year. Just drive it 😄
Installed. This was a fun and easy job. The wheel now sits much closer and a bit higher. Perfekt for me who is a tall driver. And the feel and look is perfect i think. Verry happy
Yah but its so much fun. But my plans trough the Winter is.
Much more carbon. Im sorry but i really like it.
Nedd to change out the Stock amp to a 5 og 6 chn.
Need to take of the bonnet and front bumper to send to Paint. there is maybe 8 stone chips in them and the front bumper got some scratches under the front apron.
But for now the car is so good to drive and so much fun.
Carbon dash strips would really set the dash off nicely.
If you decide to go with a carbon center console I'd be happy to buy your current one off you.
