Mine came with a similar aftermarket set already installed when I bought it, so not sure if they're the same.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've searched the forum and all I can find is posts from 2015, they didn't help much.
Interested to know if anyone has tried these on their 996's...
I have a 99' Narrow Body and I'm considering getting a set. I'm just concerned with the light output.
I want these to look cleaner but more importantly to be seen.
I've seen plenty of aftermarket companies around and they are rarely brighter and more noticeable.
Does anyone have any experience?

These are what I'm looking at.

The light output is outstanding. Much brighter than stock. I wanted to mirror the stock look but I believe they had a smoked option. The install was super easy. Plug and play and no additional resistors needed.
Just to clarify. Those are two different types of lights shown above. The link (first post) is for Spyder lights that used to go for around $300, with many different manufacturers ( or maybe one manufacturer and many distributors). The ones in the photo above are the Depo (and I forget the other name) which are more OEM-like in quality and about $800 last time I checked. Both types also have smoked versions. I've had the Depo lights (non-smoked) for about 5 years (maybe more) and I still love the look. They are very bright.
Edit: Just checked, I've had them for 7 years.
I can kinda help with this. I purchased mine for my C4S from Desgin911 in the UK. I know, i know, they wide body and narrow are different lights. hear me out. When i went to buy mine i was going to go with Del Ray Customs. All the research i did showed the early versions had issues but were all resolved with Del Ray Customs taking care of it. The wide body versions are much more expensive. I took my time and kept on researching. Many threads spoke of horrible customer service from Del Ray Customs. Tons of bad reviews on these forums (more so in the turbo section and other forums). I found a few people said Design911 in the UK sells the same lights manufactured by the same people for less. I contacted Del Ray customs via email and was told they are the only distributor for these lights. I can 100% say thats BS. We compared mine from Design911 to a friends who were from Del Ray customs and they are EXACTLY the same. Only difference was the price. I originally wanted the smoked version. I emailed Del Ray to order and ask for a price match. Lets just say i found out quickly how bad the customer service was. I ordered them from Design911. After seeing some that were smoked i changed my mind and wanted the regular versions. Design911 was amazing to work with. In the end i love these lights. They are very very bright. Turn signals and reverse lights are blinding. I have had mine for exactly a year and have had no issues with them. All the LED segments work, fitment is great and no water getting in them. Very Very pleased.
Looks like Design911 has V1 and V2. V1 appears to be in Del Ray's YouTube video. I'm thinking Non smoked V1 for my 99 c2 Cab. Can anyone talk me into the V2?
Do you have pics you can post? I am interested in LEDs for wide body as well and researched a bit but I never could find a set that matched the center reflector sufficiently (IMO anyway). My stock ones have the usual cracks these get so if I am going to replace them I would rather upgrade to LEDs if they looked right.
I agree they dont looks right on the C4S with the center reflector. Lucky for me i have a turbo decklid so its not an issue.
Here are the best 2 i have of the rear of the car on my phone. I can take more when i get home where the car is.
Looks good, unfortunately the only solution would be to tint the center reflector to match and I'm not sure I want to take things that far. Maybe a vinyl film would work to get a match?
